Hospital Information System Architecture

Summary

Designing a hospital information system means making pharmacy, nursing, emergency, hospitalization, and medical-order workflows coexist in one coherent architecture. I led architecture and product-requirements work across those modules.

The problem

Hospital workflows are deeply interdependent — a single medication order touches pharmacy stock, nursing schedules, and the patient record at once. Modules designed in isolation produce exactly the fragmentation a hospital information system exists to remove.
